I'm a Scottish documentary photographer and writer. I work on long term personal documentary projects in a variety of media including writing, photography and video.
As a writer I've been published with Open Democracy Beyond Slavery, North and South, the New Zealand Herald and I was a long running contributor to Wilderness Magazine writing about the environment.
In 2013 photography took me to Turkey. The photos I took there of some of the protests following the Gezi Park uprising won the Kata Most Adventurous Artwork award at Melbourne’s Centre for Contemporary Photography's 2013 Salon. In 2015 these photos were also the basis for my No More Lies exhibition at Sydney's Contact Sheet Gallery Group Show
In 2014 I began been documenting the suburb of Footscray in Melbourne. Ruffian Gallery's Portraits of the West outdoor paste-up show included two portraits from this work.
Since 2014 I've focused on researching and writing about sex workers' rights. My current area of interest is in the way legislative frameworks impact sex workers' lives and frequently undermine their human rights. I've been published with Open Democracy - Beyond Slavery writing on this topic. For more information see Faces Behind the Voices.
